Our nurse practitioners strive to provide high quality, comprehensive health care services to clients of all ages.  Some health conditions do require monitoring in collaboration with a specialist.  If this occurs, we consult with physicians and other health care providers as is most appropriate to ensure that the client received the best available care.

A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse who has advanced education and clinical training in a health care specialty area.  Nurse practitioners are primary care providers who practice independently in ambulatory, acute, and long term settings.  According to their practice specialty, these providers provide healthcare services to individuals, families, and groups of all ages.  In addition to diagnosing and managing  acute episodic and chronic illnesses, nurse practitioners emphasize health promotion and disease prevention.  Services include, but not limited to, ordering, conduction, supervising, and interpreting diagnostic an laboratory tests, and prescription of pharmacological agents and non pharmacological therapies.  Nurse practitioners are independently licenses and practice autonomously and in collaboration with other health care providers.  Research has shown that nurse practitioners provide high quality care, cost-effective care, a unique approach to health care, and care that results in a high level of patient satisfaction.
